Living hurts!
Living hurts!
All the hate, the pain and the injustice,
Seems like this world will never run out of these.
Have we run out of love?!
Have we run out of goodness and compassion?!
Does kindness not matter anymore?!
Father,
The world has become too dark,
And the heart of mankind too evil.
Why do You sit by and watch wickedness have it’s way?!
“As long as there are ten good men,
I will have compassion on them”,
Said He, a millennia ago,
While Abraham pleaded for the lives of his relatives.
Is He still holding back His wrath,
For the very same reason?, I wonder.
For the faithful few,
For the good at heart and the kind in deed?
“You are the Light of this world”,
He says to me, with a kind smile,
“This is your moment,
Why don’t you let your light shine?!”
“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven.

Abraham pleading with God:
He wouldn’t quit, “Don’t get angry, Master—this is the last time. What if you only come up with ten?” “For the sake of only ten, I won’t destroy the city.”
