Moses and the burning bush! Bham!!!

He had runaway from his home, An exile, for all he knew. He was just getting by, Surviving from one day to another, It didn’t matter anyway, He had no goals, no foreseeable future, the sheep he led didn't care for his highly esteemed Royal Education. Life must have been hard, Being a Prince all his life and then bham! – he is a pauper, having to earn his very next meal.

Well, since Life goes on, He went on with it too. The mundane, the monotony – didn't matter anymore. Maybe the first few years had a flicker of hope. Somehow, when he had enough money, he would go back, He had friends back home, they would help, Maybe. And then came his Firstborn son and then another one. He wasn’t an exile any more, he was home, it will have to do for now.

Forty years down the lane, He knew the desert like the back of his hand. The hot days and the cold nights didnt surprise him anymore. Walking for hours was a daily phenomenon. He was making a name for himself, Moses the shepherd. But that wasn’t what God was thinking, God was thinking more like “Moses – the deliverer”. Moses – the one who will have movies made about him. Moses – the one who will have songs sung after him. Moses – the one whom the laws will be written by and referred to. Moses – the one who would talk to God directly.

But our buddy Moses didn’t know any of these, And ofcourse, how could he!?, He went about rearing the sheep. Looking to the constellations for directions at night. And resting awhile in the Oases that caught his eye. And then bham! A burning bush!! Who could have known, right!? He wasn’t Moses – the shepherd anymore. He was Moses with a Mission from Mt.Sinai.

Maybe you are walking the desert now, Thinking there couldn’t be anything more to life, God’s got His eye on you, Even if you don’t feel like He does. Just make sure that, When you get to the burning bush, Don’t retreat, Run straight to it.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.
